Abstract

In this paper, we discuss the calibration estimator for estimating population characteristics that uses prior values and an auxiliary variable. We assume an infinite population and unknown underlying distribution for the objective variable. Simulation studies are conducted to investigate the efficiency of the proposed estimator. Finally a numerical example is presented.
