Local bahadur optimality of some rank tests of independence

Abstract

We derive sufficient and necessary conditions for local Bahadur optimality of new tests of independence introduced by Ledwina (1983) as well as some linear rank test. Moreover, some local comparisons of new tests with some linear rank tests are presented.
