Abstract

Rafael Donoso Anes, recientemente fallecido, ha dejado un gran legado como historiador de la Contabilidad. En el presente artículo se realiza una semblanza de su figura como investigador, repasando su biografía científica y su fomento de esta rama de investigación. Se analiza su obra a partir de sus libros publicados relacionados con la Casa de la Moneda, la Casa de la Contratación y el asiento de esclavos. Asimismo, se repasa su carácter pionero promocionando y difundiendo la Historia de la Contabilidad.
