Abstract

The combined effect of population and socio-economic growth coupled with supply problems of commercial fuels is putting ever increasing pressure on the traditional fuel supplies in Nigeria. This has resulted in accelerated depletion of forests for fuel wood and installation of generating sets; disregarding their adverse ecological and environmental impacts.
