Abstract

Self-diffusion coefficients of methane and carbon tetrafluoride were measured by the pulsed NMR method in three dense-gas mixtures of methane and carbon tetrafluoride having 0.25, 0.50 and 0.75 mole fraction of methane. The measurements were made at temperatures between 0°C and 75°C and pressures between 25 and 500 atmospheres. The data were correlated according to the corresponding-states principle.
