Abstract

We estimate the GDP growth rate for Mauritius by analogy with observed growth in more developed countries such as Singapore and Hong Kong. The ratio of electricity to GDP is given as an empirically determined elasticity coefficient. Acceptable fits are presented to data observed since 1968.
