Abstract

Multifractality in relativistic charged particles and medium energy target associated protons is investigated by analyzing the experimental data on 10.6A GeV/c 197Au–AgBr and 14.5A GeV/c 28Si–AgBr collisions following Takaji’s approach. The findings are compared with the predictions of Lund Monte Carlo model, FRITIOF. The observed power law behavior reflects the self-similar property of the multiparticle production process. Values of generalized dimensions and multifractal specific heat, obtained in the present study, indicate the presence of multifractality in the angular distributions of medium energy knock-out protons and produced relativistic particles at the two energies considered.
