Li–Yorke chaos in a spatiotemporal chaotic system

Abstract

This paper presents a rigorous proof to the existence of chaos in the sense of Li–Yorke in a spatiotemporal chaotic system, i.e., a coupled map lattice. It therefore lays a theoretical foundation for further study and exploitation of this spatiotemporal chaotic system.
