Abstract

In the paper the analysis of the dynamics of a cascade of two homogeneous plug-flow tubular reactors with a divided recirculating stream at each stage is considered. Two cases were numerically analyzed, viz. with and without time delay in the recirculation loop. The results are presented in the form of Feigaubaum diagrams and Poincaré maps. It is demonstrated that the analyzed system is characterized by quite complex dynamics including chaotic behavior.
