Abstract

This paper introduces a novel class of controllable optical bottles (OBs), which are generated from chirped elliptical Airy Gaussian vortex beams (CEAGVBs), supported by both theoretical foundations and experimental validations. By jointly controlling the elliptical parameter and the chirp factor, OBs with various specifications can be designed. Changing the elliptical parameters profoundly affects the transverse shape of the OB, while adjusting the first-order and second-order chirp factors modifies its longitudinal length. Furthermore, by embedding multiple vortices, complex multi-OB structures can be created, with the detailed intensity distribution and the Poynting vector showing their characteristics. Additionally, the paper presents experimental intensity results of CEAGVBs, which demonstrate good agreement with the theoretical model. Finally, the application of trapping multiple particles at the neck and body of the OB is demonstrated, thereby contributing to the advancement of optical tweezers technology.
