Abstract

This experimental investigation of corrugated, channel-type solar air heaters is more concerned with design than environmental or operating parameters. The main system parameters considered include the corrugation geometry (i.e. rectangular, triangular and circular cross sections) and the flow arrangements which include the flow above and/or below, or within, the absorber plate. These design parameters were investigated for various flow rates, numbers of glass covers and inlet air temperatures.
