Notas de Población Vol. 51 N° 118

Abstract

Este primer número de Notas de Población de 2024 reúne ocho artículos que abordan una variedad de temas, todo ellos relevantes y de gran interés para la comprensión de la población y sus conductas y de las tendencias demográficas, así como para el diseño de las políticas públicas relacionadas con ellas. Se incluyen tres artículos que abordan directa o indirectamente comportamientos y tendencias reproductivas: el primero se refiere a la participación de las mujeres en el mercado laboral y la disponibilidad de guarderías públicas para sus hijos; el segundo, a la edad en que se tiene el primer hijo y el papel en ese sentido del nivel educativo, y el tercero, al impacto de la pandemia de enfermedad por coronavirus (COVID-19) en la natalidad. Otros tres artículos, los tres finales, se enfocan en la nupcialidad y la familia, en particular en lo referente a su estabilidad y a las variables asociadas a ella, como la educación, las desigualdades de género y la cohorte. Los dos artículos restantes se refieren uno a población y ambiente, y el otro a la seguridad alimentaria y la informalidad laboral en el contexto de la pandemia de COVID-19.
