La importancia de las transferencias económicas intergeneracionales en Chile

Abstract

En esta publicación se describe el patrón per cápita por edad del consumo, el ahorro, el ingreso laboral, el ingreso de capital, las transferencias públicas positivas (beneficios) y negativas (impuestos) y las transferencias familiares recibidas y entregadas en Chile en 1997. Estas estimaciones se realizaron sobre la base de la metodología de cuentas nacionales de transferencias. Además, se examinan las distintas fuentes de financiamiento del consumo para grandes grupos de edad y se muestra cómo varía la importancia del mercado y de las trasferencias en el financiamiento del consumo, según el grupo de edad que se observe.
