La cadena automotriz argentina a partir de la crisis de la convertibilidad: un análisis de su evolución y sus principales problemas (2002-2019)

Abstract

El objetivo del presente artículo es analizar las principales características del sector automotor argentino y su desempeño durante la primera parte del siglo XXI. En primer lugar, se describen los aspectos centrales de los eslabones de la cadena. A continuación, se realiza una breve reseña histórica de la industria automotriz argentina desde sus inicios hasta la crisis de la convertibilidad a fines de 2001. Por último, se analiza la evolución del sector en las etapas subsiguientes, la posconvertibilidad (2002-2015) y el Gobierno de Cambiemos (2015-2019). Este examen se lleva a cabo a partir de bibliografía especializada y distintas fuentes estadísticas. El artículo culmina con una reflexión acerca de las dificultades estructurales que enfrenta la industria automotriz argentina y cómo estas se manifestaron durante las etapas analizadas.
