Alleviation of the debt burden: historical experience and present need

Abstract

Examina el peso del servicio de la deuda, comparando la experiencia de los anos 30 con la de los 80, y presenta un modelo de simulacion que permite evaluar distintas evoluciones de dicho servicio y sus efectos. Describe las opciones de solucion y las propuestas concretas que se han formulado y efectua consideraciones sobre el papel que representa el sistema monetario financiero internacional.
