Abstract

Describe los cambios en la estructura del empleo entre 1950-1980 reexaminando algunas de las interpretaciones que se han dado y mostrando la diversidad de situaciones que presentan los paises de la region. Analiza ademas los efectos que la crisis actual ha provocado en el empleo, sobre todo los aumentos en la desocupacion abierta, el subempleo visible e invisible y la caida de los salarios reales.
