Análisis de la estructura productiva del sector servicios en países con diferentes niveles de desarrollo

Abstract

Aunque la participación del sector de servicios en el empleo y los ingresos bordea el 70% tanto en países desarrollados como en aquellos en desarrollo, se sabe que el desempeño económico del sector terciario no solo depende de su capacidad para producir valor agregado. En este trabajo se evalúa la estructura productiva de dicho sector considerando las relaciones intra e intersectoriales en países seleccionados con diferentes niveles de desarrollo: Brasil, Reino Unido de Gran Bretaña e Irlanda del Norte y Estados Unidos de América. Se utilizaron datos de las matrices insumo-producto de 1995, 2000 y 2005 de la OCDE, calculándose el campo de influencia de los vínculos sectoriales de compra y venta de insumos. Según los resultados, el sector de servicios brasileño está poco integrado al resto de la economía, no ocurre así en los otros dos países, donde los vínculos más importantes se distribuyen en toda la economía.
