Enuncia la teoría original de la CEPAL sobre centro-periferia en el marco de las discusiones respecto al intercambio desigual, la cual sigue ofreciendo, después de casi 40 años, los elementos para una interpretación más satisfactoria del comercio mundial que las realizadas por otras teorías.
