Abstract

It can be said that advanced materials science and engineering applications are receiving increasing attention in manufacturing industries. In this study, it is aimed to examine the materials science, engineering applications and the products obtained by the manufacturing industry using technology in ceramic-tile production. For this purpose, the developments in Turkey and the world have been examined and presented. In this study, it is determined in which areas the technologies used in ceramic-tile production in Turkey and in the world are concentrated, where and how the materials used in production are obtained, and which areas are of interest in Turkey and in the world. In this context, the effect of clay mixtures obtained depending on the geographical conditions in Turkey is evaluated, and it is seen that the use of waste materials in recycling and ceramic-tile production in the world is more concentrated.
