Abstract

The diversity of information available on the Internet in recent times, when health has gained more importance, has further increased the value of the correct execution of health literacy. E-health literacy has been revealed by individuals' research on the importance, diagnosis and treatment methods of any health problem on the internet. The aim of this study is to statistically evaluate digital literacy and e-health literacy in terms of demographic factors for 421 individuals living in Istanbul. Since the data did not provide a normal distribution, non-parametric methods were used in group difference analysis. In terms of gender, digital literacy and e-health literacy attitudes do not differ significantly. In terms of age groups, it was determined that the digital literacy and e-health literacy of the 31-40 age group were significantly higher. In terms of marital status, digital literacy is high in single participants, in terms of education level, the high level belongs to the postgraduate education group for both concepts, while digital literacy is high in those with an income of 9000 TL or more in terms of monthly income groups, while those with an income between 7000-9000 TL have e-health. literacy level was higher. For digital literacy, participants who did not have a chronic illness had a higher level.
