Abstract

When we talk about the last decades' development we can't start without mentioning the internet as the most influential tool responsible for the economical development and the globalization that we are living in. As a result of these developments computers and the internet has constitute an important place in our lives as individuals but especially it had a great influence on the legal and commercial entities bringing within a series of problems on legal terms such as the use in bad faith of trademarks etc. Legal arrangements became inadequate against the fast-growing communication force of the internet and in conclusion, infringements of rights on internet space were observed. Facing this truth it was seen as a need for the creation of an authority to "control" the internet. ICANN as an institution with its UDRP policy is playing a very important role in dealing with it.
