First of all, the emergence of the concept of the intellectual was examined and then its transformation throughout historical processes was dealt with. After examining the concept of the intellectual, the concept of intellectual leadership was scrutinized from different angles by examining the historical process of intellectualness in order to bring a critical approach to the definition of intellectual leadership.
