Abstract

Soft skills define career characteristics such as team skills, communication skills, ethics, time management skills and an appreciation of diversity that individuals should have. In the 21st century workforce, social skills are critical in the business sector. The general feeling of employers in Turkey is that university graduates are not meeting the market expectations. The reason for this is that they have great deficiencies in soft skills. In this study, it is aimed to reveal the importance of soft skills in the workplace and to determine the basic soft skills. As a result, employers want their employees to have the necessary soft skills because the success of the workplace depends on the soft skills of the employees.
