Outward Opening and Economic Development in South Korea and Taiwan

Abstract

South Korea and Taiwan seem to have shrunk as of today from the view of underdevelopment that they exhibited in the 1950s. And even at some time they are examples of countries like Turkey that are in the way of development. In this context, we tried to examine the conditions of these two countries in the context of economic development and the process of economic development, and to examine the extent to which these countries might be sampling. At this point, economic structures of these countries are examined first. Following this, economic policies and industrialization strategies that they exhibited during the economic development process were examined.
