In this study, it was intended to analyze the factors affecting the working life quality of employees by means of metaphors. With this purpose, face-to-face interviews were made with total 52 persons, who were working at the headquarters of a public institution in Ankara. As the dimensions of the quality of working life, working conditions and times, making use of technology, participation in administration, wage, in-service training, career, job security were included in the research. Both qualitative and quantitative methods were used together in the research. In the qualitative part of the study, a case study was preferred and a descriptive research design in the quantitative part. In the analysis of the qualitative data, descriptive and context analyses were performed; and when the quantitative data were analyzed, the frequency and percentage distributions of the data, qualified with a content analysis, were studied with SPSS 22.0 package program. As the result of the study, while it is stated with positive metaphors that technology used in a workplace increases the performance, and job security makes a positive impact on the workings performance, the situations, where there is not any opportunity to promote at work, education level and the amount of labor does not affect wages, there is a peril of mental disease, caused by the work (work-load, excessive exhaustion, weariness etc.), are stated with negative metaphors. Employees stay indecisive in the wage distribution at the work by using a neutral metaphor. As the result of the analysis of the gathered data, it was determined that the employees of the institution created 722 metaphors in relation with the factors affecting their quality of working life. In accordance with the findings, positive metaphors were used more in the research. By means of using the metaphor analysis as a method in the analysis of the factors affecting the quality of working life at companies, the detailed findings, which are about the working environment of the current companies, were founded.
