Abstract

On the basis of his entrepreneurial activities of entrepreneurs who are the lifeblood of the economy lies not only cognitive intelligence. Apart from cognitive intelligence, the social and emotional intelligence which appear often in the literature cannot fully determine the success of entrepreneurship. In this respect, thanks to cultural intelligence that begins to emerge in the literature and that refers to the cultural richness of individual, entrepreneurial orientation increases and then successful enterprises takes place. This study is a product of comprehensive literature review. The results of study propose that cultural intelligence which is an indicator of the cultural richness of individual, and the capability to function effectively in culturally unfamiliar and diverse settings capability, will be positively related to the entrepreneurship orientation of individual. Additionally, we propose that cultural capital will mediate the positive relationship between entrepreneurship orientation and innovative behaviors. Therefore, organizations should create opportunities that managers or employees can recognize different cultures in order to increase the entrepreneurial orientation and innovative behaviors of the employees at other levels including specifically managerial positions. At the same time, organizations may prefer employees high in cultural intelligence for both national and international missions. Managerial and further research directions are identified.
