A Conservation and Sustainibility Approach for The Historical Bath of The Babakale Village

Abstract

Today, many instances of immovable cultural heritage of Anatolia are under the danger of destruction. A large part of these immovable cultural assets are located in the rural part of Anatolia. The baths those dated to different historical civilizations and historical periods take a large part within this context. These baths must be handled at the top priority within the context of conservation campaingns those will be carried. In this study, the essential principles of a conservation approach that is offered for conservation and sustainibility of The Historical Bath of The Babakale Village is determined. This paper consist of two main chapters, first chapter (existing condition /survey) includes the details of the existing condition of the building and the second chapter (the conservation approach) includes the details of the conservation interventions.
