Índices De Desigualdad Ocupacional Por Género En Portugal

Abstract

Portugal es uno de los países de la Unión Europea con mayor tasa de actividad femenina en el mercado laboral. No obstante, en el mismo continúan persistiendo las desigualdades de género expresadas en inferiores condiciones de trabajo respecto a los hombres: concentración en determinados grupos profesionales, brechas salariales, precariedad de sus contratos, escasas posibilidades de promoción, entre otros aspectos. En este trabajo presentamos un panorama de las desigualdades laborales de género mediante el cálculo de los índices de distribución, concentración, representación y segregación, partiendo de los datos del Censo de 2011. Finalmente, nos centramos en la medición de la segregación ocupacional para las 30 regiones portuguesas a través del cálculo del índice de disimilitud. Ello constituye una aportación novedosa en el análisis de esta problemática para el caso portugués a nivel regional.
