Niveles de competitividad de los países y concentración de universidades de clase mundial

Abstract

Este artículo determina la concentración de universidades de calidad en los países más competitivos, estableciendo la relación entre dos rankings universitarios con el reporte del Foro Económico Mundial. Construye dos grupos de universidades, las situadas en países de mayor competitividad, grupo I y las ubicadas en los de competitividad en proceso, grupo II. Se calculan las medias de los indicadores de calidad en los rankings y se establecen comparaciones entre ambos grupos de instituciones. Las universidades del grupo II logran compararse con las del grupo I en dos indicadores, la relación con las empresas y la publicación en revistas indexadas.
