El empleo en España en el período 1964-2004. Evolución y análisis comparativo de modelos econométricos

Abstract

Se analiza la evolución del empleo en España en el período 1975-2004, y se estiman varios modelos econométricos de empleo bajo diferentes enfoques teóricos. El enfoque seleccionado, corresponde a un modelo de desequilibrio que tiene en cuenta factores de oferta y demanda, y en ese contexto se analiza el papel que la función de producción en la explicación de las relaciones entre capital utilizado, empleo y PIB. Se analizan también algunos de los factores que tienen una mayor relevancia para lograr un incremento de la tasa de empleo en España compatible con un incremento de los salarios reales.
