Abstract

Strengthening the mutual economic relations of the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States is an important part of realizing the goals of the organization. Mutual integration in the agricultural sector can lead to the efficient use of the rich soil-climate potential and human resources possessed by member states, as well as the formation of modern regional value chains for agricultural products. This article examines the issues in expanding mutual trade and developing economic relations of member states in this sector. Using the methodology adopted by international organizations, we cover the possibilities of expanding the mutual export of agricultural products (including processed products) of OTS member states and evaluate factors that determine the absolute and relative quantities of additional (unused) export potential for each country. At the same time, we enumerate the possibilities for making progress in the structure of mutual exports by utilizing the competitive advantage these countries enjoy in various types of agricultural and processed products.
