Ausländische Unternehmen weiten Forschung und Entwicklung in Deutschland aus

Abstract

Im Zuge der Globalisierung ist die internationale Verflechtung von deutschen Unternehmen stark gestiegen. Allgemein wird vermutet, dass im Rahmen dieser Entwicklung deutsche Unternehmen einseitig ihre Forschung und Entwicklung (FuE) ins Ausland verlagern. Eine neue Studie des DIW Berlin zeigt, dass diese Befürchtung unberechtigt ist. Vielmehr erhöhen ausländische Unternehmen in Deutschland ihre FuE-Aktivitäten in etwa gleichem Maße wie deutsche Unternehmen im Ausland. Dies zeigt, dass Deutschland ein attraktiver Forschungsstandort ist.
