Einkommensentwicklung der privaten Haushalte in Ostdeutschland

Abstract

ln diesem Bericht wird der Frage nachgegangen, wie sich die Struktur der verfügbaren Einkommen der privaten Haushalte in Ostdeutschland im Zuge der Vereinigung Deutschlands im Zeitraum Mai 1990 bis März 1991 entwickelt hat. Die Untersuchung stützt sich auf Daten des Sozio-oekonomischen Panels (SOEP). Die Einkommen der Haushalte in Ostdeutschland sind von Mai 1990 bis März 1991 real und pro Kopf im Durchschnitt um mehr als 10 vH gestiegen. Diese Einkommenssteigerung blieb nicht auf bestimmte Einkommensschichten beschränkt. Die Ungleichheit bei der Verteilung der Einkommen hat sich nicht erhöht.
