Abstract

Russia’s war against Ukraine is causing fundamental changes. Not only in political terms but also in economic terms, the war is a turning point that will have a significant impact on economies and financial markets in the short and longer term. In this context, increasing the resilience of economies is of major importance in order to be prepared for future shocks. What also remains clear is that the transition to a climateneutral economy must remain a key objective for the coming years, even under the framework of the “new normal”. Given the complex geopolitical risk environment, accelerated expansion of renewable energies is a top priority. In this overall context, the insurance industry plays a central role as a long-term investor and risk carrier.
