Die Finanzsituation norddeutscher Universitäten: ökonomische und politische Schlussfolgerungen auf der Basis eines Ausstattungsvergleichs

Abstract

Auf der Basis eines Datensatzes über die Finanzsituation norddeutscher Universitäten wird untersucht, welche Einflüsse auf die staatliche Mittelzuteilung und welche auf die Drittmitteleinwerbung wirken. Für die Gesamtheit von 41 Fächern an 17 Institutionen gilt, dass in beiden Dimensionen neben anderen Faktoren auch die jeweilige Situation der Gesamtinstitution eine bestimmende Rolle spielt. Im Fall der Ausstattung wird dies mit Effekten politischer Gestaltung, bei den Drittmitteln hauptsächlich mit Unterschieden in der örtlichen Forschungskultur erklärt.
