Abstract

The importance of the selection phase in an Environ-mental Scanning System is often stressed in academic literature. Our paper refers to Simon’s work on the concept of informational intelligent filters and attention management. Applying those theoretical concepts to a large industrial and technological firm, we show how it is possible to formulate the implementation of such filters.
