Phraseological Units with Invective Semantics (basing on the Avar language)

Abstract

Aim. The article examines the peculiarities of the objectivization of the illocutionary concept (IC) "insult" through the Avar PhU with invective semantics.Methods. Conceptual analysis, semantic analysis, statistical analysis.Results. The phraseological units of the Avar language are studied, associative links of the concept "insult" in the Avar phraseological world picture are determined.Conclusions. The phraseological units used to insult a person in the Avar language are identified and determined that the main semantic features forming the meanings of the Avar invectives features, like stupidit), talkativeness, spitefulness, un-cleanliness, physical deficiencies, laziness, theft, gluttony.
