Abstract

Настоящото изследване е съсредоточено върху разви-тието на българския застрахователен пазар през второто десетилетие на XX век. Последователно се дебатират проблемите на връзката между глобалния финансов сектор, застраховането и фазите на икономическите цикли; дебатът за значението на финансовия сектор и застраховането за икономическото развитие; установяването на корелационни връзки и зависимости между динамиката на БВП и динамиката на Брутния премиен приход (БПП) в сектор Общо застраховане в България за периода 2007-2019 г., като се лансират проспективни разсъждения и оценка за ефекта от глобалната пандемия COVID-19 върху българския застрахователен пазар. Линейният модел при реалистичен сценарий формира спад на БПП от 18,2%, при рецесия от 9,0% за БВП. Допълнително се оценява и дава изведена чрез модел прогноза, че спад от 12,4% до 25% на БПП от задължителната застраховка на автомобилистите „Гражданска отговорност“ (при посоченото ниво на рецесия за БВП) ще има разрушителен ефект за българския модел на общото застраховане, заради невъзможността да се изпълняват социалните функции на тази застраховка като защитата на пострадалите при пътнотранспортни произшествия.
