Abstract

This paper looks at the dynamics of the GDP and the state finances of the countries of the CIS throughout the last two years, as well as the impact of the world economic and financial crisis on them, in particular the situation in the Republic of Moldova. It also points out some positive aspects of the Moldovan economy concerning its anti-crisis sustainability. Moreover, it analyzes Moldova’s economic state in 2009: the structure of foreign trade turnover in its regional aspect and the trends regarding the changes in the structure of the various industries. Finally, it outlines the parameters of the post-crisis model of development of the country, the transition to innovative and informational economy and the mechanisms that are employed.
