Abstract

Разработката обяснява генезиса на капитализма по принципно различен начин от този на социологическата класика. Новоевропейската трансконтинентална търговия се разглежда като механизъм, като социалноструктурен процес от надличностен порядък, действащ системно в продължение на повече от три века и пораждащ капитализма като свой продукт. Пазарът, подпомогнат от калвинизацията на християнството, се приема не само като историческото, но и като “логическото начало” на модерния тип общества.
