Abstract

In recent years, the rapid progress of artificial intelligence has significantly influenced the landscape of neurology and psychiatry, reshaping both the research and clinical dimensions of these medical disciplines. This paper explores the multifaceted interplay between AI and the evolving fields of neurology and psychiatry, highlighting the current applications, methodological challenges, and ethical considerations that have emerged at this cerebral frontier. The marriage of AI and neuroscience has unlocked unprecedented opportunities for making new discoveries about the brain, enhancing diagnostic and preventative models, and developing more effective assistive neurotechnology’s. However, this transformative technological shift has also presented researchers and clinicians with a host of complex methodological and ethical considerations that must be carefully navigated.
