Abstract

Trans-Abstract: The article at hand sheds a light on how the digital transformation process at the container terminal operator Eurogate is shaped by the collective agreement ‚Tarifvertrag Zukunft‘. It is shown that the agreement as such is enhancing codetermination at Eurogate and thus facilitates more participation by the employees in the digital transformation. Particularly the newly formed ‚automation commission‘ secures an early and comprehensive involvement of employee representatives. However, as more far reaching automation projects are still lacking, the true test of the collective agreement lies still ahead.
