La mineria vizcaina durante la Primera Guerra Mundial

Abstract

No existe un estudio monográfico sobre la coyuntura que la minería española atravesó durante la Primera Guerra Mundial. Obras clásicas como la de Bernís o la de Ceballos Teresí apenas contienen información que no sea la referida al sector hullero. Estudios posteriores sobre la economía española durante la guerra aluden a un esplendor general de la minería. En unos casos, se ofrecen los valores a bocamina de toda la producción minera para ilustrar de este modo el supuesto ciclo expansivo. En otras ocasiones, el número de sociedades mineras constituidas durante la contienda. Tales generalizaciones pueden inducir a error, ya que hubo crecimiento de un único ramo minero, el carbonífero.
