Fuerza de trabajo, rendimientos y produccion agraria en Galicia a finales del siglo XIX

Abstract

Tal es el tono de las Memorias de los registradores de la propiedad al referirse a la situación de la agricultura gallega a finales de la década de 1880. Términos semejantes, a veces idénticos, se pueden leer en el texto de la Junta Consultiva Agronómica, elaborado en base a la Memoria del ingeniero I. Aguiló y Cortés. Y numerosos informes remitidos a la Comisión que estudia la crisis agrícola y ganadera finisecular coinciden en la rutina de las prácticas agrarias, el bajo nivel económico, las deficiencias del sistema de cultivos y su frecuente inadecuación a las condiciones climatológicas y edafológicas, y por último, en la ausencia de modernización de la agricultura gallega. ¿Son realmente observaciones fieles a la realidad o más.
