Doce años de la Revista de Historia Económica. Reflexión de aniversario

Abstract

Hace doce años ya, datado el primer número en la primaver-verano de 1983, aparecía la Revista de Historia Económica (RHE), que en este tiempo relativamente breve ha realizado a mi entender una labor muy útil y estimulante entre los profesionales de esta disciplina o de otras afines, tanto dando a conocer numerosos trabajos renovadores cuanto informando a sus lectores de noticias profesionales, novedades editoriales y temas a debate.Creo, pues, que la aparición de la RHE vino a ocupar un vacío de urgente atención, y es hoy un título conocido y respetado entre nosotros y en muchas universidades e institutos extranjeros. Y no, precisamente, porque no tuvieran cancha los trabajos de este área en toda una amplia serie de prestigiosas revistas, sino precisamente porque su aumento en cantidad y calidad auspiciaban un órgano especializado, sistemático.
