Los profesionales no siempre juegan minimax: evidencia de las ligas de fútbol de América latina

Abstract

este trabajo busca aportar evidencia empírica en favor del teorema del minimax a partir de los datos procedentes de los cobros de penales en los partidos de varias ligas de fútbol profesional de américa latina. en línea con la mayor parte de la literatura sobre el tema, los resultados obtenidos indican que las implicaciones de equilibrio del teorema no se cumplen a cabalidad. Particularmente, los jugadores parecen conectar sus elecciones actuales con las realizadas previamente por su rival. Estos hechos ponen de manifiesto que no solo la experiencia cuenta para jugar minimax en el plano real. el contexto y las habilidades cognitivas también son relevantes.
