Efecto del número de hectáreas de coca cultivadas, incautaciones de pasta de coca y el número de habitantes sobre los depósitos realizados en el sistema bancario durante 2010 a 2017

Abstract

El lavado de activos ha representado para Colombia una coyuntura socioeconómica a lo largo de su historia, que ha guardado una relación con los cultivos ilícitos hallados a lo largo de este territorio. El presente estudio pretende encontrar el efecto en los depósitos realizados en el Sistema Bancario durante 2010 a 2017, a partir de variables asociadas a los cultivos de coca y la evolución demográfica de dieciocho departamentos del país. Para tal fin se utilizó un modelo de datos panel de efectos fijos; los resultados determinaron que el número de hectáreas cultivadas, las incautaciones de pasta de coca y la población sobre los depósitos en los dieciocho departamentos aumenta en el tiempo. A su vez, departamentos como Antioquia, Valle del Cauca y Santander son más propensos al riesgo de lavado de activos, en contraste con territorios como Amazonas y Guaviare.
