Condicionantes del entorno empresarial: datos de transparencia para realización de negocios en América latina y el caribe

Abstract

Aspectos de transparencia, es decir ausencia de corrupción en general, son factores fundamentales asociados a condiciones de desarrollo. La finalidad de este escrito es establecer un estudio sobre indicadores de transparencia con especial énfasis en países latinoamericanos y del Caribe. La base de datos esencial se tomó del “Corruption Perception Index 2011 Report” (véase:http://cpi.transparency.org/cpi2011/results/). El indicador fue elaborado con base en encuestas que se realizaron en cada país y con opiniones de diferentes sectores, respecto a los ambientes de negocios que se percibían. Se trataba de especificar condiciones para el desempeño de las empresas y la relación que se establecía incluyendo prácticas de gobierno. El rango de la calificación fue de 0 a 10. En la medida que la calificación era más alta se tiene un escenario más transparente, con menos prácticas de corrupción.
