Propuesta de índice para la medición de la innovación en Colombia

Abstract

Resumen En este trabajo se propone un índice para medir la innovación en Colombia. A partir de las falencias de los índices actuales, se implementa la metodología propuesta por la Comisión Europea para la construcción de indicadores y así evitar la inserción de errores por subjetividades en la ponderación y agregación de variables, esto se realizó con el método estadístico análisis factorial. Los resultados evidencian que el país en innovación está rezagado en las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación. ****** Abstract This paper proposes an index to measure innovation in Colombia. Taking into account the current rates’ inadequacies, the European Commission’s methodology for the construction of indicators is implemented. This avoids inserting errors due to subjectivities in the weighting and aggregation of variables. In order to do so, the statistical factor analysis method was used. The results show that the country is lagging behind in terms of information technologies and communications.
