Abstract

El presente texto pretende situar la contabilidad desde un marco teórico más amplio al que comúnmente se le ha asignado, tomando para esto la teoría social de Pierre Bourdieu. Con base en dicho referente, se entiende la contabilidad como construcción social arbitraria, poder simbólico y estructura estructurada y estructurante, de forma tal que asume otra dimensión en las organizaciones y en la producción, reproducción o transformación del mundo.
